Los Angeles Dodgers: Players that will have a better 19 than Bryce Harper
By Jason Reed

3. Cody Bellinger
The third person on this list is someone who’s value took a hit because of the dreaded (and predictable) sophomore slump. Cody Bellinger burst onto the scene in 2017 and was slugging home runs at an unprecedented rate.

While he was still good in 2018, he was not the same menacing force that he was in his rookie season. The home runs were coming at a slower rate and the split against left-handed pitching was much more noticeable.
It was obvious that having film on Bellinger made it easier to attack his weaknesses and not succumb to the dreaded Bellibomb. However, as the year went on, Bellinger got better and was probably the second-best Dodger offensively during the postseason.
He showed glimpses of greatness in certain runs last season and we are going to see much more of that in 2019 as Bellinger rightfully becomes an addition to the everyday lineup, whether it is in the outfield or at first base.
Bellinger has the power to keep up with Harper and will slug more bombs than Harper because of the added opportunities of not being intentionally walked. Bellinger had legitimate 40 home run potential and will finish this season with at least 37 and 100 RBIs.
Not to mention that Bellinger is a significantly better outfielder than Harper, which will lead to a significantly better WAR than Harper will have.
The positives of not signing Harper. dark. Next
This might have seemed obvious, as it is the three best bats in the lineup. All three will have a better season than Bryce Harper.
