Los Angeles Dodgers: Predicting position player WAR leaders for 2019
By Jason Reed
1. Corey Seager
A lot of people would probably put Justin Turner ahead of Corey Seager on this list; fans in Los Angeles and fans outside Los Angeles. That is because Seager missed all but one month last season with Tommy John Surgery and his name has been out of the limelight.

In fact, this had led to Seager being underrated as a whole throughout the league. Seager has serious potential to be one of the best five players in the National League but is forgotten by many in that elite discussion.
Heck, Seager was an MVP finalist in his rookie season and was on pace to be one again in 2018 before he went absolutely ice cold late in the year when his arm was bothering him.
Seager has an explosive bat with pop that can flirt with 30 home runs and an approach at the plate that leads to plenty of base hits. Seager is one of the hardest outs in the entire league and certainly is one of the best hitting shortstops.
His fielding is not elite but it is good enough to hold its own in the advanced metrics, so Seager does not have to worry about that holding him down.
As long as he stays healthy and plays how he is capable of playing then he should have a tremendous year. Chances are that we have not seen even close to Seager’s prime, which is an exciting thing to think about.
Corey Seager will be the WAR leader on the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2019. You can take it to the bank now, it is a guarantee.
