1. Dexter Lawrence, Clemson

Dexter Lawrence is one of the most intriuging prospects not only at the nose tackle position in the 2019 NFL Draft but one of the most intriguing of all the prospects. In a year’s time when all the rookies have one year under their belts, we might be asking how Lawrence fell to 31st in the draft.

There is a chance that Lawrence is selected before the 31st overall pick but he is most likely going to fall to at least the 25th overall pick. Heck, the Rams’ LA counterparts, the Los Angeles Chargers, would be a good fit for Lawrence as well with the 28th overall selection.

Lawrence is a monster on the defensive line and is a machine at plugging the running lanes. Lawrence is going to be elite at stopping the run and right out of college is probably going to be an above average run-stopper at the NFL level.

The reason he falls this low is because he leaves more to be desired in rushing the passer but his big-bodied, brute-style of playing makes him perfect for a defensive line that already thrives at using finesse to get to the passer.

The Rams don’t need Lawrence to be a world beater in the pass-rush department and instead need him to be that plug up the middle. Of course, playing alongside Donald, he is probably going to be better than expected at rushing the passer.

If the Rams end up selecting Lawrence then every single fan should be shouting with glee. He is special.
