1. Oakland Raiders, 24th overall pick (via Chicago Bears)

The lowest spot that would be worth it for the Rams to trade up to would be the 24th overall pick, which is owned by the Oakland Raiders. This could be the move to make if the Rams are targeting a prospect in the high teens that falls to the mid-20s, knowing that they won’t fall all the way to the 31st pick.

The pick originally went to the Chicago Bears, however, the team traded its pick prior to the season for Khalil Mack. Head coach Jon Gruden and the Raiders got a lot of criticism for that trade so it there is the risk that they would not want to part ways with the specific pick.

However, the Raiders still have the 27th pick in the draft and would still have another first-round pick, as the Rams would send the 31st pick. If there is nobody that the Raiders love with that pick the team might as well move down seven spots to continue to add picks to the repertoire.

The Raiders very well could trade down, select the prospect they wanted anyways with the 27th overall pick and then use the 31st overall.

The Rams theoretically could get this deal done with next year’s second-round pick as well as this year’s third-round pick, on top of the 31st pick, of course.

However, if there is someone that they really love, it would not be crazy to see the Rams send a pair of firsts to move up seven spots, although it would be better to get it done with the second and third.
