3. Week 17 @ Kansas City Chiefs

It might seem a bit odd to include a Week 17 game as one of the most challenging for the Chargers as there is a chance that this game means absolutely nothing. The playoff scenarios for both teams might already be set in stone, rendering this game useless for both sides.

However, with the talent on both sides and the fact that this is a Divisional Game, there almost undoubtedly will be playoff implications of some sort on the line. This could be the most important game of the season for both teams and will be a test for the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chargers and Chiefs do not play until Week 11, where the two teams will square off in Mexico City, giving the Chargers no home game against their toughest division foe, even though the Chargers have no real home-field advantage.

Even though the Chargers got the job done in Arrowhead last season this will be an extremely tough game to go into Kansas City in December and get a win in what might be the most important playoff game, in terms of seeding, that entire week.

It will also be huge for the Chargers, especially if the playoffs are already a lock but the game is deciding a first-round bye. Having a game with this kind of playoff atmosphere is a great thing, especially when a loss does not end the season.

The Chiefs have the best offense and the most electric quarterback in football and to dethrone the Chiefs from the AFC West throne the Chargers are going to have to beat them at least once, if not twice.

Next. Gates deserves one more season. dark

It is not an easy thing to do and that is why the Chiefs have been so dominant in the regular season over the last few years.
