Los Angeles Rams: Four games that will define the 2019 season
By Jason Reed
1. Week 2 vs. New Orleans Saints
The Los Angeles Rams have an early-season test at home as the team will be hosting the team that they defeated in the NFC Championship Game, the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints and Rams have crossed path each of the last two seasons with the Rams taking the three total games, two games to one. Last year, both games were played in New Orleans and the Rams dropped the regular season contest before advancing to the Super Bowl.
The Rams defeated the Saints in LA the year prior, although the two sides did not meet up again in the postseason.
This game will help define the Rams season early on as it will give us a good measuring gauge of how the team is stacked up for this season. A win, or even a close game that comes down to the last whistle, is promising for Rams fans; the team is right on par with last season.
However, if the Saints come out and beat the breaks out of the Rams then it could be a tad bit concerning. That will not be indicative of the entire year but the Rams should play the Saints close if they are an elite team.
It will be fun to see the Saints trying to get revenge for the NFC Championship loss while the Rams look to prove that they deserved the win in the first place.
