4. Week 16 @ San Francisco 49ers

It is kind of ironic that every single game we singled out in this article is against a team that the Los Angeles Rams played last season. And for the second time in this article, it is a team that also plays in the NFC West.

More from LA Sports Hub

Except unlike the Seattle Seahawks, this game is going to have huge playoff implications in Week 16. You could make the case that this game will mean absolutely nothing because it is at the end of the year but the San Francisco 49ers are going to make that leap that many expected them to make last year.

With a healthy Jimmy Garoppolo under center and new weapons that are going to come from the NFL Draft, the already overachieving 49ers are primed to make the jump to a playoff contender and are undoubtedly going to be in the hunt in Week 16.

In fact, the 49ers are going to have such a good year that the team is still going to have a chance to win the division in Week 16. This game will serve as the Rams’ chance to seal the division with a loss extending the results to Week 17.

Going on the road and beating a presumably good 49ers team in what is sure to be a playoff-like atmosphere is going to be a great test for this Rams team right before the playoffs begin. Games like this are extremely beneficial and the Rams are actually lucky that this is coming in Week 16.

It will be telling of how much better the Rams are than the 49ers, if at all this season, while also serving as a huge control sample to see how the team fares against the rest of the NFC playoff teams.

Unlike this matchup in the past, this game is going to be extremely fun and entertaining and is going to tell us a whole lot about the Los Angeles Rams.
