4. The Los Angeles Dodgers are a better team than the record indicates

The Los Angeles Dodgers are sitting very pretty through 24 games this season with a 15-9 record. LA is leading the National League West by two and a half games with the second-best winning percentage in the NL and the fifth-best overall.

The teams in front of them are not likely to stay, though. The Mariners, Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays and Pittsburgh Pirates are all enjoying hot starts that likely will not last.

After such a grueling three weeks the Dodgers will definitely take a 15-9 record. The crazy part about it is, and the Dodgers even likely know this, is that the team is much better than the record indicates.

The team that we will see more often than not in 2019 if the team that started the year 8-2 and is 7-1 in their last eight. Aside from the dreaded six-game losing streak, which was right in the middle of these brutal travels, the Dodgers are 15-3 on the season.

That is incredible and the Dodgers have won games in various different ways, which is extremely promising compared to last season. This is not the team that lives and dies by the long ball and that is massive.

The crazy part is that the Dodgers haven’t even played up to their true form yet. The bullpen is only going to get better, the starting rotation is going to get better and once Justin Turner and Corey Seager heat up the offense will get better as well.

The Dodgers are legitimately primed to have another insane run this summer, similar to the one that they had in 2017. Just imagine an offense in which Bellinger, Turner and Seager are all actually playing up to par, it will be unstoppable.

You cannot really make excuses for the six-game losing streak, it happened. However, this team is so talented that it would legitimately not be a surprise if they were 20-4 at this point this season.
