3. Emmanuel Mudiay

Emmanuel Mudiay became an unrestricted free agent this summer after the New York Knicks did not offer a qualifying offer to the young point guard. As of right now, Mudiay might just be the best unrestricted free agent point guard still on the market.

More from LA Sports Hub

Mudiay is only 23 years old and likely will get the biggest contract of any of the remaining free agents, so he definitely is not a possibility if the Lakers get Leonard. If not, Mudiay would be a great, young point guard that is already established enough to instantly have an impact.

Mudiay averaged 14.8 points, 3.9 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game last season. The six-foot-five guard does need to see an uptick in shooting, as he shot just 32.9 percent from beyond the arc last season.

Regardless, that is something that can be improved on, especially considering that he has been getting better and better every season. At 23 years old, Mudiay is young enough for the Lakers to mold into exactly what they want him to be.

Sure, he is going to need to develop more of a specific skill set to thrive alongside LeBron James. However, because of his age, he is one of the very few guards that can actually be a long-term solution for the Lakers, not just a one-year rental.

Mudiay is easily the least likely of the four point guards to join the Los Angeles Lakers but it would be interesting to see a Lakers team with Mudiay as the starting point guard.
