2. Kawhi Leonard records at least two triple-doubles

The triple-double has become such a staple in the NBA that many fans turn to the box score accomplishment as the mark of a truly great game. With Russell Westbrook averaging one per game the last three years, it has kind of became an expectation that great players have triple-doubles.

That is why you may be shocked to find out that Kawhi Leonard has actually never recorded a triple-double in his career. In fact, double-doubles are not even something he does on a nightly basis, as he usually falls short of 10 in assists and rebounds.

Leonard has never even recorded 10 assists in a game in his career. It has always been his scoring and elite defense that has made him the player he is today.

But as we established in the last slide, Leonard is primed to set a career-high in both rebounds and assists, although those averages still fall well short of 10 per game. Regardless, with an opportunity for board man to flourish and more scorers around him, Leonard is primed to not only record his first triple-double but record at least two.

These probably won’t even be that big of a deal to the mainstream media as triple-doubles have become so frequent over the past few years. However, it will be the perfect reminder that Leonard is playing his best basketball yet.

And while it might not happen on a nightly basis as it does for Westbrook, it will be telling of the third and final prediction for Leonard in 2019.
