1. Kawhi Leonard sets a career-high in rebounds and assists

Kawhi Leonard may not be a man of many words but he has given the NBA world one of the most important phrases to ever grace its presence.

And I quote, “Board man gets paid.”

Leonard definitely got paid and now it is time for board man to get more boards than he ever has in a season in his career. Last season was Kawhi Leonard’s best rebounding season, as the forward averaged 7.3 rebounds per game.

There are two reasons to believe why that number will increase in 2019. First of all, at 28-years-old he is entering his athletic prime, which will last for another four years. Increasing from last season is natural.

Second of all, he is likely going to see a decent amount of time at the power forward position. Not only that, but the Clippers do not have a rebounding machine down low at center, opening the door for more rebounds for Leonard.

And it terms of assists, Leonard has two things going for him. First of all, he has some great scorers around him in Paul George and Lou Williams that are going to help him out by knocking down some shots.

Second of all, point guard Patrick Beverley is not one that is known for demanding the ball and being much of a distributor, which means Leonard will likely take the ball up the court more often than not.

I expect somewhere around eight rebounds and four assists per game for Kawhi Leonard.
