The Los Angeles Dodgers are at risk of losing three games in a row to the Arizona Diamondbacks after two disappointing losses on Thursday and Friday.

The first two games of the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ last series against the Arizona Diamondbacks have been ugly. The Boys in Blue have lost both games in a rather frustrating fashion as they are now half a game behind the New York Yankees and Houston Astros for potential World Series home-field advantage.

The first game of the series saw the Dodgers squander a 3-0 lead in the third consecutive bad start by Hyun-Jin Ryu. Ryu has an 11.05 ERA in his last three starts and may need to skip a start or two to stay fresh for the playoffs.

Then, on Friday, the Dodgers had another 3-0 lead that was squandered. Tony Gonsolin allowed a two-run home run on his last batter of the game but the Dodgers picked him up with a run in the top of the seventh.

That was until Casey Sadler allowed a two-out, two-run home run to Josh Rojas in the bottom of the seventh. It really was unlucky as Sadler has been lights out for the Dodgers this year and got two quick outs in the inning before Jarrod Dyson laid down a two-out bunt single.

It got even worse when Yimi Garcia balked in a run in the bottom of the eighth. The runner that was on third base, Tim Locastro, got there after reaching on a strikeout, stealing second and then getting singled over.

With two strikeouts and a pop-out after that balk, it is safe to say that the Diamondbacks would not have scored if it was not for the balk.

But hey, it happens in baseball and the Dodgers have been on the other side of the coin before this year. Now, the best thing is that the team bounces back with a definitive win with Clayton Kershaw on the mound.

As part of our Los Angeles Dodgers Beat the Streak series, here is who we think is going to record at least one base hit to help the effort on Saturday.

Jason’s pick (Current streak: 6): Enrique Hernandez

I am always cautious when going with Enrique Hernandez as it does not matter how hot he is, he always seems to end my streaks (unless Madison Bumgarner is on the mound).

However, Hernandez has been pretty hot since coming off the injured list and has a lefty-on-righty matchup against Robbie Ray that should yield some positive results. Hernandez doesn’t have a great batting average against Ray, .243, but he is tied for the team-lead in hits against him with nine.

Hernandez is hitting .364 with a 1.053 OPS, one home runs and seven RBIs since coming off the IL on August 20.

He definitely will get the start for the Dodgers against a southpaw and is looking to continue his hot ways, which I think he will.
