1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could definitely use an elite back like Gordon as they enter into a new era under Bruce Arians, and here is a trade that would make sense for both sides:

In most instances, the Los Angeles Chargers likely are not going to get exactly what the team needs, at least in terms of established NFL talent, as trades in the NFL often revolve around draft picks.

If the Chargers were intent on getting an established talent, though, they could call up the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and see if Demar Dotson is available.

The Chargers had one of the worst offensive lines in football last season and with Russell Okung out for who knows how long, the team should definitely be looking to add pieces. While the interior of the line can be surprisingly good if they stay healthy, the tackles can undoubtedly be improved and that is where Dotson comes in.

The reasoning for trading Dotson for the Buccaneers is that he is in the last year of his contract anyway. While the Chargers can extend him, the Buccaneers would be trading one year of an offensive lineman that they can replace in next year’s draft for an elite running back.

Of course, this is under the impression that the Buccanneers are going to extend Gordon and they have the funds as well as the need to do so. Gordon could be exactly the difference-maker Tampa Bay needs to take that next step.
