The Los Angeles Rams square off with the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 in a matchup that should not be overlooked whatsoever.

The Los Angeles Rams are off to a 2-0 start and are coming off of a huge statement win over the New Orleans Saints. Although it is slightly less impressive with Drew Brees getting hurt, it was a statement nonetheless.

It was a statement that even though the refs messed up in the NFC Championship game that the Rams are no pushover. A lot of Saint fans took that call personally, and rightfully so, which in turn caused displeasure with the Rams.

The Rams proved that they are still the team to beat in the NFC for the time being. But the challenge does not stop there.

After hosting the Saints in Week 3, the Rams must travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns in Week 3 on Sunday Night Football.

While we know Sean McVay and his team will not take anyone lightly this year, there is a sense that the Rams have this game in the bag. Before the year, this game would have been circled as a potential intense matchup. Now, the Rams seem to be clear-cut favorites to win this game.

The Rams are only three-point favorites, although they are on the road. Regardless, it is safe to say that there is a good portion of the fanbase that might be viewing the Browns as a pushover.

This is because the Browns are a victim of their own hype. After all the hype leading into the year, the team came out and laid an egg against the Tenessee Titans in Week 1 and got blown out. Then, in Week 2, the team had an ugly win over a New York Jets team that was down to its third-string quarterback.

The ugly loss and ugly win mixed with Baker Mayfield‘s disappointing play to start the year has soured a lot of people on the Browns, which is what makes this game dangerous, especially to bet on.

This is still a team that has talent. Not only do they have talent, but they are going to be at home, in primetime and the Dawg House is going to be loud. Jared Goff has performed poorly in primetime on the road before.

Myles Garrett just had an insane game against the Jets and any sort of pressure on Goff is going to make this game hard. Luckily for the Rams, they can counter with Aaron Donald.

I still think that the Rams have the better chance of winning this game and it would not even be surprised if it was a blowout. However, I would not overlook this Browns team. This is a team that is now an underdog after being so hyped before the season began.

A team that already feels like it has been written off and knows that it can make a massive statement with a win over the defending NFC Champions in front of a national audience.

This has all the makings of a game that the Los Angeles Rams lose that they really should have won. Let’s hope my gut intuition is incorrect.
