Los Angeles Clippers have three advantages over the Los Angeles Lakers

3. The playoff rotation
This is where all of the controversy and backlash came from. We welcome and appreciate all feedback, even when it is negative. You can disagree with me all you want and that is the beauty of sports.

In the Lakers’ article, I argued that the team had more depth than the Clippers, something I still stand by. It seemed like a lot of people just read the headline to the slide, though, and didn’t read the reasoning. Not all, but some.
If you read that article then you will remember that I stated that the Clippers had a better “playoff rotation,” which is a rotation consisting of about eight guys as that is all you need in the playoffs. However, I also said that the Lakers had a better roster that was built for the trials and tribulations of the regular season.
People kept throwing Lou Williams‘ name out there and I never once said the Lakers had anyone better than Williams. That was not part of the argument. The argument was that if the Lakers need to go to their ninth, 10th or 11th guy that they will be much better off than the Clippers.
It was not even meant to be a big advantage either as that situation obviously requires specific things to happen. It was an ever so slight advantage that the Lakers had over the Clippers, which should tell you something about how good the Clippers are. That I had to use the ninth, 10th and 11th guy as an advantage.
Instead of looking at it that way, most Clipper fans took it as an attack on the team. But hey, that is the beauty of being a fan!
I still believe that to be true but it is much less of an advantage than having a great playoff rotation, which the Clippers absolutely have. When the rotation shrinks to seven or eight guys the Clippers are going to play their best basketball.
However, if someone gets hurt (which is a given), then the Clippers’ replacements will not be as good as the Lakers.
But as long as the Los Angeles Clippers are healthy in the postseason, that will not even matter if they match up against the Los Angeles Lakers.
