3. Enrique Hernandez

This one would definitely upset a lot of Dodger fans as Enrique Hernandez is one of the biggest fan favorites on the Los Angeles Dodgers. And while I personally would not love seeing Hernandez being traded, you could easily make the case for why the Dodgers would move on from their utility player.

More from LA Sports Hub

Like Pederson, Hernandez is in his third and last year of salary arbitration before becoming a free agent next winter. The Dodgers, being the savvy front office that they are, realize that they can turn that one year into future assets, or even include a player like Hernandez in a bigger deal.

Hernandez has trade value as well. He is a utility player with superb defense that could legitimately play every single position besides pitcher and catcher (he has pitched, though). His bat, when it is hot, is red-hot and he is a nice right-handed bat to add if a team needs right-handed hitters.

Gavin Lux makes it possible to trade Hernandez. The Dodgers’ top prospect is set to be the team’s everyday second baseman next year, despite his slow September and October.

Hernandez would then find himself in a bench role that is identical to another utility man on the team: Chris Taylor. Taylor has posted betters numbers than Hernandez and has two more years of arbitration with the Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers definitely are not out there shopping Enrique Hernandez, as they may with Stripling or Pederson.

However, if a team came to the Dodgers with an offer or wanted Hernandez as part of a bigger deal, I would be very surprised if the Dodgers turned it down.
