After thoroughly defeating the Arizona Wildcats last week, the USC football team is back on the road and takes on the Colorado Buffaloes.

The USC football season has been an interesting one, to say the least. The team has lost games that it should have won, has beaten ranked teams while being unranked and even came three points away from upsetting Notre Dame on the road, nonetheless.

Not to mention that the team has used three different quarterbacks because of injury, with second-stringer Kedon Slovis being healthy at the moment.

The strange year continued as USC had its most dominant win of the year last week against the Arizona Wildcats, besting them 41-14. The 27-point margin is the largest winning margin by the Trojans this year. They beat the Stanford Cardinal by 25 and then were within eight points in the other two wins.

USC is looking to carry that momentum into Friday as the team looks to win back-to-back games for the first time since the start of the season. The USC football team is taking on 3-4 Colorado on the road.

No road game is easy for an unranked team in college football but on paper, the Trojans are the better team. Here is how the LA Sports Hub staff sees it going down.

Hil Lopez (5-7): 33-20, USC

USC will look to turn their winning streak to two games when they face a conference foe in the Colorado Buffaloes. They are coming off a 41-14 beat down of the Arizona Wildcats at home in which they dominated offensively and defensively.

The Buffaloes haven’t been that good at all this season. They are 3-4 overall and have lost their last three games. They are also at the bottom of the Pac 12 Conference with their 1-3 record along with Cal and Washington St.

Even though the Trojans look like a lock to win this game due to their recent play, this could be considered a trap game, given that they will have a showdown at the Coliseum with the 11th-ranked Oregon Ducks.

Nevertheless, I believe Kedon Slovis will be ready to go in this game and lead the Trojans to a convincing 33-20 win in this Friday night matchup.

Redan Lopez (7-6): 35-24, USC

The Trojans have the upper hand offensively against the Buffaloes. They boast one of the strongest trios of receivers in the nation in Michael Pittman Jr. (43 receptions, 599 yards), Tyler Vaughns (42-534) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (35-377). Fourth-string running back Kenan Christon is also no one to ignore.

With the Buffaloes having lost their last three games while scoring only 13 points in the last two, there does not seem to be much hope for them to counterbalance the Trojans’ offensive weapons.

While there may be some pause for the Trojans, who have not won a road game yet this season, this is the most winnable one yet.

Jason Reed (7-6): 26-21, USC

There is no doubt in my mind that the USC football team will get the win in this one. However, if I were betting on this game, I would be extremely scared to go with the Trojans.

USC is currently 11.5-point favorites over Colorado on the road, courtesy of the Action Network. While USC is the better team talent-wise, I cannot justify expecting the Trojans to win by 12 or more points on the road.

USC has not been great on the road this year and I think that will again be the case in this one. They will make mistakes throughout this game that keeps Colorado in it but will still overcome their own hurdles because of the talent gap between the two teams.

USC gets the win in the record books but does not get the win against the spread.
