Los Angeles Lakers: Most surprising things through seven games
By Jason Reed
3. The resurgence of Avery Bradley
There were several players that were entering this season with the Los Angeles Lakers that were looking for career resurgences. That is what made the Lakers such an intriguing team, the floor and the ceiling of the team were so vastly different.

One of those players was Avery Bradley, and to be fair, I expected Bradley to be better for the Lakers than he was for the Los Angeles Clippers, where he was terrible.
However, I still expected him to be a role player off the bench that would have to earn his spot back in the rotation with a big role. While he looked good in Memphis, he seemingly still had more to prove back in LA.
Bradley did not need time to prove himself and ease himself into having a bigger role on the team. He is already one of the most important players on the Lakers and is third behind LeBron and Davis in minutes played.
Bradley has been starting at point guard for the Lakers because of his efficient scoring and his great defense that is reminiscent of his time in Boston. Bradley is shooting an astounding 51.9 percent from the field, which is insane for a guard, with 1.3 steals per game and a 100 defensive rating.
Bradley suddenly is a huge role player on the Lakers and there is a decent chance that the team does not give Rajon Rondo a starting role once he returns from injury.
Bradley has been that good, and while I expected him to have a bounce-back year, I could not have imagined this kind of start.
