After Anthony Davis’ big night in staples center, the Los Angeles Lakers start off their five-game road trip in Orlando. In what started off as a blowout, the game eventually became a game that came down to wire in the fourth quarter.

The Los Angeles Lakers after winning at home against the Timberwolves started off their five-game road trip against the Magic. In what seemed like a sure blowout during the first quarter, the Magic surprised the Lakers and fought back; making the game come down to the last few minutes during the fourth quarter.

LeBron James was on fire to start the game. Hitting shots left and right. He was playing around with the Magic as if he were orchestrating everything on the court. LeBron did slow down a lot more during the second half.  He still managed to be effective having another good night for himself. Going for 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Anthony Davis had an off night. After his 50 point game, AD played out of sync with the rest of the team. Playing lazily on offense and a little lackluster on the defensive end as well. He shot six for 20, having an awful shooting night. Somehow AD still managed to get 16 points and 12 rebounds. I would expect a bounce-back game from AD against the Heat on Friday.

The role players really stepped up big tonight for the Lakers. With Kuzma out and Avery Bradley playing limited minutes, role players made the right plays down the stretch. KCP has been playing at a great level of basketball, and tonight was no exception. KCP scored 15 on 5/10 shooting while also being a factor on the defensive end for the Lakers.

Jared Dudley. The veteran stepped up major tonight against the Magic. Only missing one of his shots for nine points. He even stepped up for his teammate Dwight Howard, which he ended up getting ejected for. But, that is the type of passion you want to see from the team. To stand up for one another and show fight.

Alex Caruso went all out on the defensive end tonight. Playing hard and making the opponent work for a bucket against him. He even got a steal on the night. He only scored seven points, but still managed to affect the game in other ways. JaVale McGee was playing what could have been good. But, he got into foul trouble causing him to only play 14 total minutes.

Next. Lakers have more impressive wins than the Clippers. dark

Overall it was a rough game for the Lakers. Some of the players not playing their best AD, Danny Green, and Howard made it even more tough to pull out the win. The next game is going to be a lot tougher against the Miami Heat, a game in which I would expect the Lakers to be much more prepared for.
