Los Angeles Lakers: Way-too-early look at who the Lakers could trade
Kyle Kuzma
Kyle Kuzma is what could potentially be the Lakers’ future along with AD, which is why I wouldn’t expect a Kuzma trade to actually happen. Although, you never know. If Kuzma continues to disappoint a trade might come into question.

I don’t expect a trade to happen this season as he still will be on a great contract for the Lakers until the end of next season. But, if Kuzma wants to remain a Laker, he is going to have to show up sooner rather than later.
He has been injured for a majority of the season and is averaging 11 points per game and also not shooting well from deep. Which, every time I have watched the Lakers this season, he seems to do a lot of.
Kuzma has also been a defensive liability since he has gotten into the league. Kuzma is one the team’s worst defenders on a team that prides its defensive prowess. There is a lot Kuzma is going to have to improve at if he wants to show his worth and remain a Laker for years to come.
We all know, Kuzma is without question one of the building blocks for the Lakers future. If the right trade for a young player with about as much potential as Kuzma happens to come around, it could become a possibility that Kuzma will no longer be a Laker.
Especially if he continues his mediocre play.
