#2 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers 104-58 (.642)
The 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers dominated the regular season winning the most games since moving to Los Angeles to clinch their fifth consecutive NL West Title.
They did it with heavy hitters, rookie slugger Cody Bellinger set an NL record with 39 home runs, Justin Turner was third in the league with a .322 batting average, and seven players hit at least 20 home runs.
The pitching staff was still led by “ace” Clayton Kershaw although injuries hampered his season. Kenley Jensen would win top Reliever of the Year as he anchored the bullpen.
The Dodgers continued to roll in the playoffs sweeping by the competition in the NL beating the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-0 and then the Chicago Cubs 4-1. The Dodgers won their first NL pennant in 29 years.
The return to the World Series was bittersweet as the Dodgers lost the series in seven games to the Houston Astros, cheating allegations have surfaced since then but the season still ended in disappointment.
