6. Shane Lemieux, G

At this point in this particular mock draft, the Los Angeles Chargers have filled all of their primary needs for the upcoming season. And while there are other areas that could be addressed with the sixth-round pick, there were no prospects that warranted the selection.

Thus, the team adds even more offensive line depth by selecting Oregon guard, Shane Lemieux. At this point, the Chargers would have added three new faces to the offensive line to not only compete for jobs but to serve as long-term depth options for the team moving forward.

Lemieux is an interesting prospect as there are some outlets that are very high on him and project him to be as high as a second-round pick, but on Matt Miller’s big board, he was ranked as just the 16th-best interior offensive lineman in the draft.

If NFL teams share the same sentiments as Miller and Lemieux falls all the way to the early sixth round then this would be an excellent selection, as Lemieux has a very impressive physical prowess that could win him the job as early as year one.

Personally, I think Miller is a little bit too low on Lemieux and he will go in the fourth round.

7. Kamren Curl, S

Both Adrian Phillips and Jaylen Watkins are unrestricted free agents this offseason and while the Chargers should do anything in their power to bring back Phillips, chances are that they are going to lose at least one of the safeties moving forward.

This selection is nothing more than a depth selection while also adding a contributor to the special teams unit as well. Curl is a sound tackler who just lacks the speed to be a starting-caliber NFL safety but could absolutely be a contributor in special teams in year one.

That is all the Los Angeles Chargers are really going to get out of the seventh round of the draft, but overall, this was a pretty good mock draft.
