Los Angeles Rams: 3 Cleveland Browns worth trading for
By Jason Reed
3. Odell Beckham Jr, WR
My number one rule when starting this trade series (and you can find it in the first article posted) was that we would not include any unrealistic trades just to get clicks. This might feel like an unrealistic trade, but in reality, the seeds for getting Odell Beckham Jr are there.

First of all, the Los Angeles Rams have not shied away from trading for big-name players and doing whatever it takes to get them. Just look at how much the team offered for Jalen Ramsey, who could walk away after this season.
It might not make sense to trade for Beckham because the Rams are already in a salary bind but that is what actually helps make the case. If the Rams are going to be in this position they might as well go all-in and trade one of their massive contracts for Beckham.
The trade would be Brandin Cooks, a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2021 third-round pick for Beckham. I would not even be surprised if the Rams were willing to throw more picks on the table.
If the Cleveland Browns are truly listening to offers for Beckham then this provides an interesting option. The Browns would be getting a receiver who could replace Beckham in the offense that has proven before that he can be a legitimate number one and had a down 2019.
The ceilings for Beckham are much higher than Cooks and the things that he could do in a Sean McVay-run offense are very intriguing. Cooks already has a similar cap hit as Beckham, why not take the improvement?
For the Browns, it also makes sense in the aspect that it provides them potential freedom as well. They might be looking at that long-term cap hit as a bad thing and Cooks does not have the same downside. The Browns could get out of Cooks’ contract after this season.
This all depends on what the Los Angeles Rams want to do. If they are set on freeing up that money after this year and using it for Jalen Ramsey then this trade does not happen. However, if they want to go all-in on winning a Super Bowl, which they have proven time and time again that they do, then this absolutely is on the table.
Would I do this if I was running the Los Angeles Rams? Probably not, but I certainly would not put it past the team that has made more high-profile trades and signings than any other team the last several years.
