Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Storylines to watch in Orlando

– LeBron James’ revenge season
It is no secret that James’ first season with the Los Angeles Lakers was considered a failure. When James signed with the Lakers, expectations instantly went through the roof. Considering James had made the NBA Finals for eight straight seasons at the time, everyone expected that he would be able to do the same with the Lakers.
Unfortunately, the young core of the Lakers wasn’t ready to be the support that James needed. While the group is performing well with the New Orleans Pelicans this season, they weren’t quite ready for a deep playoff run with James.
However, the Lakers were doing fairly well with James before he got hurt on Christmas Day. Furthermore, that injury to James ended the Lakers season, as they were never able to recover from him missing time.
When James came back, he was still putting up some good stats but was not 100 percent. This resulted in the narrative that James was beginning to decline and that he had seen his best days in the league.
James used this narrative as motivation to have a great offseason, which has translated into an MVP caliber season. For James to complete his revenge season, he will have to win a ring, and that is something he is certainly capable of doing.
