3 Most Likely Rams Draft Targets With 26th Pick
The Los Angeles Rams had a successful campaign this past season. They finished the year with a 10-7 record and won the NFC West. They ultimately were bounced in the Divisional Round by the Philadelphia Eagles and are looking down the line.
Free agency kicks off in March but draft speculation has started picking up. The Senior Bowl is happening down in Mobile, Alabama, this week, giving teams an early look at some prospects in this class.
The NFL Scouting Combine, Pro Days, and pre-draft visits are going to happen over the next few months, so there are a ton of things that can change. Last year, the Rams made a first-round pick for the first time since 2016.
That worked in their favor, as they selected DE Jared Verse, who will likely win AP Rookie of the Year.
The Rams hold the 26th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. We'll discuss three potential picks in the first round for Los Angeles.
1. Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
The Rams have some questions to answer along the offensive line this offseason. LT Alaric Jackson is slated to become a free agent and Los Angeles may need to find his replacement.
Tackle Josh Simmons from Ohio State could be an enticing option. Simmons started in 31 collegiate career at Ohio State and San Diego State. 18 starts came at left tackle, and 13 were at right tackle.
His 2024 season was cut short after he had to undergo surgery on his left knee but that shouldn't impact his availability this offseason.
Simmons is powerful at the point of attack with great quickness and movement skills. He consistently beats defenders to the spot and owns strong hands. Simmons can climb to the second level as a run blocker with ease and stays patient in pass protection.
A potential void at left tackle is on the horizon. Adding someone like Simmons to the fold could be an option for the Rams in the first round.
