The Los Angeles Chargers made the playoffs in Jim Harbaugh's first season. They were able to change the culture in one season and found a way to get into the dance.

Many people around the league and in the national media didn't think the Chargers would be this good but this showcases the ability Harbaugh has to lead his team. Los Angeles travels to play the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round, but the offseason has started for 18 other teams in the league.

On Tuesday, the Tennessee Titans made a surprising move and fired GM Ran Carthon.

NFL News: Titans Fired Ran Carthon on Tuesday

Carthon got fired after just two seasons with the team and there will be a nice voice calling the shots this offseason. Los Angeles should call the Titans to see the price range on WR Calvin Ridley and DL Jeffery Simmons.

The Chargers have Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston on the team but they could use another big-time weapon for Justin Herbert. That's where a guy like Calvin Ridley would come in clutch. Last offseason, he signed a four-year, $92 million deal with the Titans but struggled to produce with Mason Rudolph and Will Levis at QB.

Ridley is still a crafty route runner with strong hands at the catch point. In 83 career games, Ridley has 388 receptions, 5,375 receiving yards, and 40 touchdowns. He would give Los Angeles a quality pass-catcher and is signed through 2027 ($28 million in 2025, $26 million in 2026, and $27 million in 2027).

Meanwhile, Simmons is a menace along the interior as a run-stopper with the pass rush moves to get into the backfield. He has notched 180 solo tackles, 49 TFLs, 66 QB hits, and 31.5 sacks in his career. Simmons signed a four-year, $94 million in 2023 and has three years left on his deal.

There is a chance that Khalil Mack leaves in free agency and the Chargers could be looking for another difference-maker upfront.

This offseason, the Chargers will have around $74 million in cap space, according to Overthecap.com. They have the funds to absorb either of these contracts, and Los Angeles should look into acquiring one of these guys this offseason.
