The Los Angeles Chargers are getting ready for a crucial Sunday Night Football showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14. To have any hopes of catching the Chiefs in the AFC West, the Bolts need to come away with the road win. More importantly, a primetime win over the reigning Super Bowl champions would send a strong message to the rest of the league.
While teams are preparing for the final stretch of the season, the NFL released the list of Walter Payton Man of the Year award nominees. Representing the Chargers was kicker and fan favorite Cameron Dicker.

Bolts fans are very familiar with Dicker the Kicker's abilities on the field. He has firmly established himself as one of the best specialists in the game, going 77/82 on his field goal attempts as a Charger. With his impressive accuracy, the 24-year-old had earned a long-term contract extension before the season.
What is even more impressive, however, is Dicker's impact off the field. The Chargers recognized all the contributions Dicker is making to his community.
In their announcement on the team website, the Chargers pointed out the various initiatives and programs their beloved kicker has participated in. Dicker donated to the Chargers Impact Fund to help support the Community Corner that provides game tickets to nonprofits and youth groups. He also joined a meditative breathwork event with cancer patients, survivors, and their families. He was a part of the Halloween party event for children impacted by cancer.
Dicker is also involved with The Friendship Foundation, an organization trying to change the lives of individuals with disabilities. Most recently, he did a PSA for Easterseals Southern California, a nonprofit focused on inclusion and equity for people with disabilities. He chose to bring awareness to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy as part of the My Cause My Cleats Initiative.
Chargers fans already loved Dicker for being one of the most reliable kickers in the game. It turns out there are even better reasons to love him.
