In 2024, the Los Angeles Chargers receiving game leaned heavily on rookie Ladd McConkey. While relying on McConkey, who worked during the regular season, come playoff time, their lack of weapons showed. As a result, the Chargers must add a wide receiver to pair with McConkey this offseason.

Names such as Davante Adams and Cooper Kupp have been floated as names Los Angeles could add this offseason. Even though both receivers have proven to be elite, they are on the other side of 30 and carry some baggage. Therefore, head coach Jim Harbaugh may decide to steer clear of Kupp and Adams.

That said, one name that hasn't been talked about as much, given the amount of interest he will garner from most of the other teams around the NFL, is Tee Higgins. Despite many analysts projecting Higgins will land with the New England Patriots, a recent article from USA Today's Nick Brinkerhoff has Higgins landing in Los Angeles.

Is Tee Higgins to the Chargers in 2025 a Real Possibility?

Recently, Higgins went on record saying he would be willing to take less money than what other teams may offer to stay in Cincinnati. Even so, Higgins could easily change his mind once he sees the money teams are willing to pay him. While Los Angeles may not have as much cap space as New England, they certainly have a better overall roster than the Patriots and even the Bengals.

That could play a huge factor if Higgins chooses to be a Charger in 2025. Adding Higgins to this roster would immediately elevate the Chargers to serious threats in the AFC again.

In 2024, Higgins recorded 73 receptions on 109 targets for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns. This marked the fourth time in five seasons that Higgins has 900 or more receiving yards. Furthermore, one of Higgins's strengths is making 50/50 balls look easy to catch, which is something Los Angeles didn't have in their offense in 2024.

Although finalizing a deal with Higgins will be a challenge, Harbaugh and the Chargers need to get it done.
