The Los Angeles Chargers started off the Week 16 slate of games. On Thursday Night Football, the Chargers beat the Denver Broncos 34-27. They improved to 9-6 on the season and have a 98% chance of making the playoffs, according to NFL.com.

Los Angeles has two games left on the schedule, matching up against the New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders. There's a pathway to finishing the year 11-6 in Jim Harbaugh's first season as the head coach.

Even though we are in December, the Chargers are still looking at different ways to improve the team. On Saturday, it was revealed they are interested in adding a Pro Bowl WR who was just released.

Chargers Rumors: Chargers Named a Potential Destination for Diontae Johnson

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Johnson is likely to get claimed by a team on Monday. Schefter named the Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs as potential destinations.

Johnson landed with the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 29, after they sent a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for the 28-year-old.

Things made a turn for the worse during his time there, which saw him get suspended for one game by Baltimore after he refused to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13.

The Ravens decided to part ways with the Toledo product, as he's logged one catch for six yards with the team.

Despite things not working out with the Ravens, Johnson has shown he can be a productive player in the league. In his six-year career, Johnson has 702 receptions for 4,726 yards and 28 touchdowns.

The Chargers' interest in Johnson isn't shocking, as their passing attack could use another quality playmaker. Los Angeles is 24th in the league in passing offense (200.8). Rookie WR Ladd McConkey leads the team in receiving yards (960), but no other receiver has more than 550 yards on the year.

Getting another receiver in the fold could open things up with the playoffs right around the corner. We'll have to see if another team puts in a claim before Los Angeles. If not, there's a good chance Johnson will land in Los Angeles.
