The Los Angeles Chargers had a successful year in the first season under Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz. After going 5-12 in 2023, the Chargers went 11-6.

They secured a playoff appearance in the first season under Harbaugh. The quick turnaround in Los Angeles was noticeable, and other teams around the league took note. There are still several GM openings, and the Las Vegas Raiders have one of them.

Chargers assistant G.M. Chad Alexander is expected to have a second interview with the Raiders for their GM position. This interview will take place in person on Monday.

Chargers News: Chad Alexander Set to Have 2nd Interview With Las Vegas Raiders

Alexander was Hortiz's fire hire when he landed the Chargers job. He's had stops with the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets before going to Los Angeles. Alexander learned under Ozzie Newsome and spent 20 years in Baltimore. He held roles as an area scout and Assistant Director of Pro Personnel. With the Jets, he held the title of Director of Pro Personnel from 2019-2024.

He's been a key member of three different front offices and has worked his way up the totem poll. Alexander clearly impressed the Raiders ownership enough to land an in-person interview.

Being in the same division as the Chargers can't make members of the organization feel the best but these opportunities don't come around often. There are only 32 of these jobs available in the league and Alexander is looking to cash in.

He was a part of the Chargers front office that turned things around in 2024. And now, there's a shot to land the Raiders job and potentially play against Los Angeles twice a year.
