The biggest move the Los Angeles Rams made this offseason was signing veteran wide receiver Davante Adams. The team decided to revamp the wide receiver room, moving on from Cooper Kupp, Demarcus Robinson, and Tyler Johnson, replacing them by signing Adams to a two-year, $44 million deal.

While breaking the bank for a 32-year-old receiver may seem questionable at first, Adams has already started to make an impact on the team. Immediately after re-signing with Los Angeles, underrated cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon revealed how excited he is to have Adams on the roster.

In his first remarks after his new contract, Witherspoon said that playing against players like Adams is the reason why he loves football. Per Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire, the talented defender said that getting reps against Adams makes you much calmer and things much simpler on game day.

"That's the joy and the passion for me is being able to compete against somebody like that on a daily basis and take that training to go to play on game day and it be much calmer and much simpler because I've had elite reps against guys like Davante and Puka... Those are the moments that I love and just being excited about a space that's improving and trying to take the next steps and wanting to be a part of it."

Going up against Puka Nacua and Adams will help Witherspoon get better as a player. The 29-year-old cornerback is coming off a solid season with one interception and six pass breakups in 13 games, receiving a 61.7 grade on Pro Football Focus.

On the other hand, Adams had a tumultuous season, getting traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the New York Jets midseason. Despite playing on two dysfunctional offenses, he put up 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 games. The six-time Pro Bowler hopes to get back to the postseason after a three-season hiatus.
