The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a 10-5 start under JJ Redick. They look like a different team that plays with a newfound confidence.

Anthony Davis is playing at an MVP level, while LeBron James is still playing like one of the top players in the league at 39 years old. They know time is ticking to make another title run, but the arrow is pointing up.

Los Angeles could use another shooter out on the perimeter and a perfect trade target may be on the block.

NBA Rumors: Donte DiVincenzo is a Name To Watch on Trade Block

Per Brett Siegel of Clutch Points, DiVincenzo is being looked at as a potential trade candidate.

"Donte DiVincenzo is being viewed as a possible trade candidate for several contending teams around the league, sources said. While the Timberwolves value DiVincenzo's skillset, the 27-year-old combo guard was not thrilled with the idea of coming off the bench after being traded."

DiVincenzo is an energetic playmaker who can create his own shot but has a smooth jumper out on the perimeter. In his career, he averages 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and shoots 37.3% from beyond the arc.

Los Angeles should call up Minnesota and offer this deal to land the 27-year-old.

Lakers/Timberwolves Trade

Gabe Vincent joined the Lakers in 2023 on a three-year, $33 million deal. Despite that contract, he's been injured and ineffective. This season, he's averaging 2.7 points and shoots 28% from the field. Prior to coming to LA, Vincent was a solid shot-creator with the Miami Heat. A change of scenery could help him regain some confidence.

Sending him with two second-round picks to Minnesota in exchange for DiVincenzo would be a home run for the Lakers.

DiVincenzo is signed through the 2026-27 season, making $11.4 million this season, $11.9 million in 2025-26, and $12.5 million in 2026-27. As for Vincent, he will make $11 million over the next two seasons so the salaries match.

Giving up the two second-rounders is solid draft capital for the Timberwolves to play with.

This deal would allow the Lakers to land a young, athletic shooter in the backcourt, who secured an NBA Championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. Getting another floor spacer next to James and Davis would be excellent for the Purple and Gold.
