The Los Angeles Lakers aren't playing well through the first half of the season. They've struggled to consistently create offensive opportunities outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The defense could also use a boost.

Before the season gets totally off the rails, Los Angeles has a chance to improve the roster. The trade deadline is on Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. ET.

These three players are the most likely trade targets for the Purple and Gold.

1. Dorian Finney-Smith

The Lakers could use an athletic presence in the frontcourt. It's always good to add more wing depth as the season progresses. Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania made an appearance on RunItBackFDTV and he reported the Lakers have an interest in Dorian Finney-Smith.

Finney-Smith fits the bill as a 3&D wing that can space the floor for James and Davis. He would also add versatility and energy on the defensive front. The Florida product has been a tireless defender throughout his career and has no problem guarding the opposing team's best player.

This season, he averages 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and shoots 38% from downtown on 5.5 3-point attempts per game. He's made at least four threes in eight games this campaign. Finney-Smith has the skillset to add value to the Lakers' ball club.
