The Los Angeles Lakers still have their work cut out for them after landing J.J. Redick as their lead man and adding two new guys in the 2024 NBA Draft.

They added Dalton Knecht with the 17th overall pick before drafting Bronny James with the 55th pick. Bronny and LeBron James are looking to become the first father/son duo to play in the NBA during the 2024-25 season.

Bronny just signed a multi-year, guaranteed deal with the Lakers and was officially introduced with Knecht on July 2.

During his first presser as a Laker, he disclosed he's honoring a late artist with his choice of No. 9.

Lakers News: Bronny James Paying Homage to the Late Juice Wrld

James revealed his choice to wear No. 9 was to pay respect to late rapper Juice Wrld.

"Juice has just been a big part of me keeping calm...so yeah just paying homage to him especially because he passed."

Back in 2018, Juice Wrld explained the meaning of the number in an interview with MTV News, saying the number represents, "taking whatever hell, whatever bad situation or whatever struggle you’re going through and turning it into something positive."

Juice Wrld tragically passed away in 2019 and James wanted to show some respect to one of his favorite artists.

Laker Nation will likely get their first glimpse of Bronny donning No. 9 during summer league. The sixth annual California Classic Summer League is slated to begin on July 6. Six teams in total will participate with those teams being the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
