After a phenomenal start to the 2024 season, the Los Angeles Chargers were hit with some bad news after the Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Quarterback Justin Herbert re-aggravated his ankle sprain and left the game. Meanwhile, they were hit with two injuries along the offensive line. Rookie OT Joe Alt sprained his MCL and will miss time. In addition, OT Rashawn Slater strained his pec.

When you thought things couldn't get worse, safety Derwin James was suspended without pay for the Week 4 contest vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. The reasoning behind his suspension was due to repeated violations of rules that are in place to protect player's health.

With one of their best players gone, linebacker Daiyan Henley went on social media to express his displeasure.

Chargers News: Daiyan Henley Post Video on Twitter Expressing Displeasure With Derwin James Suspension

Henley went on X yesterday and posted a clip of a man shouting some profanity, expressing his annoyance with something. His caption on the post was "suspended," showcasing this is how he felt regarding James.

Losing the 28-year-old ahead of a divisional showdown against Kansas City is less than ideal. In nine games against the Chiefs, James racked up 38 solo tackles, two sacks, and one fumble recovery.

In addition to those stats, the Florida State product has compiled the third-most tackles on the team (21) with two TFLs in 2024.

James is appealing this suspension, but who knows if it get rescinded. It's going to be an uphill climb for the Bolts to take down the undefeated Chiefs.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chargers have opened up an 8.5-point underdog to Kansas City, with the Over/Under set at 39.5.
