The Los Angeles Chargers have experienced a lot of change this offseason. They completely changed their coaching staff before making a bunch of moves along the roster.

The biggest departures this offseason came when the Chargers released both WR Mike Williams and RB Austin Ekeler before trading away WR Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears.

It's a new era for the Chargers under Jim Harbaugh as they continue to release veteran players on the roster.

Chargers News: Corey Linsley Is Released By The Chargers

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Chargers are letting go of center Corey Linsley, and he is expected to retire.

Linsley missed 14 games in the 2023 season after he was placed on the non-football injury list due to a heart condition.

Back in January, Linsley told reporters that he was 99% sure that he was going to retire.

A few months later, it doesn't sound like Linsley has changed his mind. The 32-year-old came over to Los Angeles as a free agent in 2021. He was given a five-year, $62.5 million deal, that made him the highest-paid center in the NFL at that time.

In his 10-year career, Linsley was a First-Team All-Pro in 2020 with the Green Bay Packers and notched a Second-Team All-Pro nod in 2021 with the Chargers.

Additionally, Linsley started all 144 career games with both the Packers and the Chargers.

If Linsley is officially stepping away from the game, he'll be walking away with one of the longest active streaks in the NFL.

He's gone 1,572 straight pass-blocking snaps without giving up a sack, including the playoffs. The last sack he allowed was in Week 10 of 2020 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
