The Los Angeles Rams are looking to get back to the playoffs for the fourth time in the last five years. All players reported to Loyola Marymount University on July 23 as they started getting prepared for the 2024 season.

This offseason they lost legendary Aaron Donald but have turned that page. On July 30, they revised Matthew Stafford's contract, giving him a $12.5 signing bonus, $23.5 million guaranteed, and a $4 million guaranteed March bonus.

It's effectively a one-year, $40 million deal as the Rams have their star quarterback locked in for 2024. They are focused on taking down the San Francisco 49ers but the latest report from training camp will give Rams fans a chuckle.

NFL News: Brock Purdy Had a Bad Practice on July 30

According to Cam Inman, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was intercepted on four of his final five passes on the July 30th practice.

That is the exact kind of report you love to see as a Rams fan. Purdy has been the starter in San Francisco for the past two years and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl appearance last season.

They were the top seed in the NFC last season so the Rams are looking for them to take a step down. That starts with the quarterback position and has Purdy taking a step back.

We know it's just a training camp practice so it could just be an overreaction but you rather see your divisional rival struggle instead of lighting up the field.

McVay and the Rams have had their problems against the 49ers over the past five years. San Francisco has a 9-1 record against the Rams since 2019. To take that jump over San Francisco, the Rams need to flip the script in 2024 so having Purdy look like this in practice is a positive step.
