The schedule for the 2024 season was officially released earlier this month, which means it’s the perfect time to play everyone’s favorite game of predicting the season record.

That’s always proved foolhardy because there’s still offseason moves to be made and injuries always occur during the season.

But Chargers fans do have some primetime games to look forward to, and we might as well have some fun trying to guess how they will play out!

Week 7 – LA Chargers at Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football

This is by far the easiest matchup of the Chargers’ primetime matchups.

Arizona is coming off an abysmal 4-13 season, but there’s good reason to suspect they’ll be significantly better this season.

They should have quarterback Kyler Murray for the full season, and he’ll have dynamic rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. at his disposal.

However, the defense allowed 26.8 points per game last season (second-worst in the NFL) and that isn’t likely to change too much this year.

LA lost quite a few pieces from its offense, including Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but Justin Herbert is now behind a beefed-up offensive line and still has Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer along with newcomers Ladd McConkey and DJ Chark Jr.

The Chargers’ defense isn’t too much better than the Cardinals’, but I’ll still take them to win by a one-score margin, even though they are currently listed as 1-point underdogs in this game at DraftKings.

Final Score Prediction: Chargers 24 - Cardinals 17
