The Los Angeles Lakers have such a big spotlight around the organization. That is emphasized when you have LeBron James as the star player on the team.

Despite their lack of outside acquisitions, the Lakers drafted Bronny James and Dalton Knecht in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Even though Knecht is the first-round pick, Bronny has constantly been discussed. It seems like every dribble he takes is under a microscope.

This past week, Boston guard Jaylen Brown attended one of the Lakers' summer league games. He was seen saying, "I don't think Bronny is a pro," in a conversation with Kysre Gondrezick.

After the contest, he went on social media to say, "It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the NBA it reflects greatness and longevity! Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth."

This caused some drama on social media and Brown was called out by a former NBA All-Star.

Lakers News: Jaylen Brown Is Called Out by Gilbert Arenas

Gilbert Arenas, a three-time NBA All-Star, wasn't thrilled with Brown's comments regarding Bronny James.

On his podcast "Gil's Arena", Arenas revealed some shocking stats regarding Brown's first three Summer League games.

"Do you know what they said about him [Brown] in Summer League? He was the third pick in the [2016] NBA Draft, the third pick in the NBA draft. The first three games, just like Bronny, Bronny was 6-for-26? Jaylen Brown was 5-for-26 from the field in his first three games in the Summer League."

Bronny did in fact struggle offensively in his first three games but it has been blown out of proportion. He was the 55th pick and widely expected to be a developmental player. Bronny not coming out and immediately cooking isn't a surprise. Despite all the noise, the USC product bounced back on Wednesday and talked about how LeBron helped him get out of his slump.

As Arenas said, Brown struggled immensely as a rookie and he was the third overall pick! He turned out more than fine for Boston but he had time to develop.

Everyone needs to give Bronny that same grace. Especially Brown.
