LeBron James is currently in London with Team USA as he prepares for the Paris Olympics. Even though he is locked into his gold medal goals, he is still keeping tabs on his son's professional journey. On Friday, the proud father spoke about Bronny James' Summer League performances so far, according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

Highlighting the way Bronny approaches the game, keeping his head down and focusing, LeBron couldn't hide how proud he is.

"As a family, obviously we’re just proud of the fact that he’s even at this point...I mean, he’s 19 years old, so he has so much room to grow. He has so much more to learn, but the best thing, he just keeps his head down and just stays focused."

LeBron James on Bronny

Bronny's determination and focus paid off as the 19-year-old had much better back-to-back performances in his last two games. After starting the summer 0-for-15 from downtown, he finally found his stroke, turning things around and leading the Lakers to two consecutive victories.

A 21-year veteran, LeBron knows that the Summer League doesn't matter at the end of the day. A shooting slump for a couple of games will not determine your professional career. How you respond to it and improve does.

LeBron knows better than anybody how to deal with pressure and scrutiny. As one of the most hyped prospects of all time, LeBron had to face endless criticism at a very young age. He navigated the fact that everyone wanted to see him fail and was able to shut off all the noise and thrive.

Now, he is trying to teach his son the same thing. Bronny is still a 19-year-old rookie who just had a cardiac arrest a year ago. He needs to take it slowly, keep his head down, and focus on his game. Everything else will sort itself out.
