Los Angeles Laker forward LeBron James and his son Bronny James were playing basketball in the same town in 2023-24.

LeBron obviously plays with the Lakers while Bronny played at USC. Well, that won't be the case going forward as Bronny has decided to enter the transfer portal.

LeBron addressed this in a postgame presser on April 2 and talked about Bronny's decision. He said, "I don't know where it came from but at the end of the day, Bronny is his own man and he has some tough decisions to make... As his family we gonna support whatever he does."

Lakers News: LeBron Talks About Bronny Hitting the Transfer Portal

LeBron answered just as a supportive parent should. Just be there for your child and support them in whatever decision they make.

That is what the James family plans to do for Bronny. In 25 games with the Trojans, the freshman guard averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

The Sierra Canyon High School alum didn't have the impact he may have envisioned with USC but he will have plenty of different schools to select from.

LeBron has made it known he would love to play in the NBA with Bronny but that dream will have to wait at least one more year.

Instead, he will shift his focus onto the postseason. The Lakers are looking to hit another gear but aren't getting much love from oddsmakers. The Lakers are currently significant underdogs at +2400 to win the Western Conference.
