Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has always expressed his desire to play with his eldest son Bronny James. It's unbelievable that LeBron, at 39 years old, is still playing at a high level.

That allows the opportunity for his dream to become a reality and that just got one step closer. Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Bronny James is declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft. He will work out and visit NBA teams and make a choice based on that. Bronny is also entering the transfer portal to keep his flexibility.

Bronny James Declares For 2024 NBA Draft

Bronny played at USC his freshman year but didn't pop off the way he may have envisioned. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

Although his numbers weren't staggering, he will still draw interest from teams around the league. LeBron has made it known he would love to play with his son and that means he could sign to whatever team drafts him. The 20-time All-Star has a player option after this season.

Furthermore, LeBron recently told reporters that his time in the NBA is dwindling. After a 40-point performance against the Brooklyn Nets on Mar. 31, James said, "I don't know when that door will close as far as when I'll retire. But I don't have much time left."

LeBron is playing in his 21st season in the NBA and will be turning 40 years old in December. If he wants to play with Bronny, it'll have to happen in the near future.

But before we even get to that, he will shift his focus onto the postseason. The Lakers are looking to hit another gear but aren't getting much love from oddsmakers. The Lakers are currently significant underdogs at +2300 to win the Western Conference.
