The Los Angeles Lakers have LeBron James running the ship but that isn't surprising. He's one of the best players to ever step foot on the floor so his opinion holds a lot of weight inside those Laker walls.

They didn't make too many moves this offseason but one thing they did was add Bronny James in the 2024 NBA Draft. Los Angeles selected Bronny with the 55th overall pick in June, making them the first father/son duo to play together in the NBA.

The excitement to see LeBron and Bronny on the floor together is sky-high but the four-time MVP has a few rules for his son.

Lakers News: LeBron Has Rules for Bronny When on Court Together

LeBron recently had an episode of "The Shop" in Paris and he discussed whether Bronny can call him 'Dad' when they are around the team. He quickly shut down that notion.

"No he can’t. We already laid that down. Cannot call me ‘Dad’ in the workplace, all right? Once we leave out of the practice facility and the gates close, I can be ‘Dad’ again. In the car we ride together, at home, I can be ‘Dad.’ No, [at work] he got to call me, like, ‘2-3’ or ‘Bron.’ Or, you know, ‘GOAT’ if he want to. That’s up to him."

Understandably, LeBron doesn't want his son calling him Dad on the court. Imagine them running down the floor and Bronny screaming, "Dad, I'm open!".

That wouldn't be ideal so calling him Bron, 23, or even GOAT like LeBron suggested is the right path.

Nonetheless, LeBron is poking some fun at his son and can't contain his happiness that they are now teammates.

This is something historical that we are witnessing and needs to be appreciated. Who knows when we'll see something like this again.
