Sunday was an absolute disaster for the Los Angeles Rams. Not only did they get demolished by the rival Arizona Cardinals, but star wide receiver Cooper Kupp was forced to leave the contest early with a concerning lower-leg injury that prevented him from returning.

Rams fans finally got an update on Kupp's health after the game, but it wasn't what most wanted to hear.

The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue saw Kupp in a walking boot on his left leg following Sunday's loss. This appears to corroborate the team's initial declaration that the wideout is dealing with some kind of ankle issue, though more will be revealed in the coming days.

Los Angeles, which has been put through the wringer injury-wise to start to the season, simply couldn't afford a seismic loss like this. Their offensive line is already battered, and Kupp's running mate, Puka Nacua, is out for at least another three games after being placed on the injured reserve list following the opener.

Without proper protection for Matthew Stafford, and the possibility both of his top receiving weapons are sidelined for some time, the Rams are already in dangerous territory after Week 2. This 0-2 start for Sean McVay's squad puts them in the same tier as the winless New York Giants and Carolina Panthers, two teams no winning franchise wants to be on the same level as.

All eyes are now on what potential moves GM Les Snead has up his sleeve heading into a pivotal third week.
