The Los Angeles Rams are picking in the first round for the first time since 2016. GM Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay were all-in on competing for a championship over the past few years.

As they took to build towards the future, the Rams own the 19th overall pick.

Los Angeles will be without former three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald who surprisingly retired this offseason.

Regardless, things don't stop in the NFL, and the focus now shifts towards the NFL Draft.

UCLA's Laiatu Latu is one of the most fascinating prospects in this draft class. He had some injury concerns surrounding him but the Rams don't seem to be worried. According to Tony Pauline, Latu has been checked out by multiple NFL medical staffs and has been cleared with the Rams being one of those clubs.

Three and a half years ago, Latu injured his neck in a preseason workout and had to undergo neck fusion surgery.

The California native wasn't cleared by the University of Washington medical staff and was told to even consider retirement. Instead, Latu kept grinding to get back on the field.

After a year, he was cleared by Dr. Robert Watkins, who put him through rigorous testing before giving him the green light to play again.

Latu then transferred to UCLA before becoming one of the best edge rushers in the nation. In two years at UCLA, he finished with 85 total tackles, 34 tackles for loss, and 23.5 sacks.

He now has the ability to continue his stellar play in the NFL and the Rams are interested.

Pauline also reported that Los Angeles could turn their attention to Latu if Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II is off the board.

The addition of Latu is on the radar for McVay and Snead.
