Rams vs. Lions Ticket Prices are Skyrocketing for Wild Card Matchup
The Los Angeles Rams defied naysayers throughout the 2023 NFL regular season, resulting in a 10-7 record and a return to the playoffs. Sean McVay and Co. open the postseason on the road as they travel to the Motor City to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Jan. 14.
If you're hoping to travel to Ford Field for Sunday's contest, you better be prepared to pay more than an arm and a leg. With it being a playoff matchup and Detroit's first NFL postseason game since 2016, ticket prices have already begun to skyrocket.
Rams vs. Lions Wild Card Ticket Prices
While most of the Wild Card matchups have tickets beginning around $120, that isn't the case for the upcoming Rams-Lions collision. Instead, any interested fans will have to pay upwards of $400 per ticket to attend the game.
StubHub lists the cheapest tickets for Sunday's affair at $428 per ticket in Section 317. In other words, a family of four Rams fans will have to pay at least $1,600 to watch them go to war with the Lions at Ford Field.
The one silver lining (if you can call it that) is that the majority of tickets in the 100s and 200s range from $500 to $1,500. In other words, if you're planning on sitting in the nosebleeds, you may as well shell out a few extra dollars to sit closer to the action.
Incredibly enough, there are even more expensive tickets than that. A few dozen lower-bowl tickets are going between $2,000 and $4,500, which could become more of the norm once all of the more "affordable" tickets get snatched up.
Don't be surprised if a lot of Los Angeles fans wind up shelling out the dough to grab a ticket to the game. Oddsmakers are projecting this to be the Rams' only playoff outing, proven by their being listed as 3.5-point underdogs to the Lions in the opening Wild Card odds.
