The NFL offseason is here, and recruitment mode is in full swing. With free agency and the trade window set to open in less than a month, players around the league are doing what they can to convince other stars to join their respective franchises — whether or not those pitches work or not.
The Los Angeles Rams would be a fantastic destination for any star player this offseason, including a certain defensive star that one of the franchise's players has begun recruiting.
Rams Rumors: Puka Nacua Recruiting Kyle Hamilton
On Wednesday, Nacua sat down alongside Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton for an interview with ESPN's Mina Kimes. The talented playmakers were extremely complimentary of the other, and the Rams star WR made it perfectly clear what he thinks about Hamilton.
"I'm not a defensive coach or telling anybody who they should pick, but I'm like, 'Kyle Hamilton has got to be the perfect build for any defensive back,'" Nacua said. "Just moving all over the place with size to fit in the box and then the speed and athleticism to play in the backend.

Nacua's love for Hamilton stems from a Rams-Ravens showdown from Week 14 of the 2023 season — a game that the former lost 37-31. The Baltimore DB's performance in the game was enough to impress the star L.A. wideout to the point where the latter revealed he'd love to team up one day.
"Hey, if you're ready to come to L.A. where it's sunny all the time, we'll be waiting for you," Nacua pitched to Hamilton.
Drafted 14th overall in 2022, Hamilton has quickly become a star with the Ravens. The former Notre Dame product has been named to back-to-back Pro Bowls while earning All-Pro first- and second-team honors in the last two seasons.
If that isn't impressive enough, Hamilton finished the 2024 campaign as one of Pro Football Focus' highest-rated safeties in terms of pass rushing (88.1, 1st), coverage (88.4, 4th), run stoppage (89.2, 3rd), and overall defense (90.0, 2nd).
Hamilton is still playing on his rookie contract and will carry a $4.4 million cap hit this fall, according to Spotrac. The Ravens will likely pick up his fifth-year option before the May 1 deadline, however, whatever happens beyond the 2026 season is anyone's guess.
In other words, it'll be quite some time before Rams fans learn if Hamilton coming to L.A. is a legitimate possibility. Nevertheless, it's great to see Nacua grow into his role as a leader on the team — especially with fellow L.A. WR Cooper Kupp's likely departure this offseason.
Even though Hamilton likely won't be moving to the Golden State this offseason, the Ram's future is still bright. Sean McVay & Co. are currently tied for the 11th-best Super Bowl 60 odds (+3200).
