After starting the season off slowly with a 1-4 start, the Rams have been playing some good football over the past two months. Los Angeles has won six of their last eight games, including two win straight games.

In Week 14, Los Angeles is coming off an impressive 44-42 win over the Buffalo Bills, where Josh Allen scored six total touchdowns. That win was critical as the NFC West is tight, with all four teams having at least six wins. The Rams are currently 7-6 and sit in second place.

Los Angeles has a big-time divisional tilt against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football but didn't get good injury news on cornerback Cobie Durant following the game.

Rams News: Cobie Durant Dealing With Lung Contusion

Head coach Sean McVay was speaking with team reporters on Monday and revealed that Durant has a lung contusion. He added that Durant is expected to be fine but there's no real update for his status on Friday.

The 26-year-old has been the most consistent cornerback for the Rams this season. He's logged the most snaps at corner (722), logging 40 total tackles, six pass deflections, and one interception. According to PFF, Durant has a 62.6 overall grade and a 59.3 coverage grade.

Los Angeles having a short week makes things tough for Durant, as they only have three days of rest before suiting up again.

Thankfully they claimed Emmanuel Forbes on waivers last week from the Washington Commanders. Forbes was released on Dec. 2 after having two inconsistent seasons but is looking to regain a spark with the Rams. Los Angeles decided to leave him inactive for Week 14 as they wanted to get him acclimated to the system but they may not have that luxury in Week 15.

If Durant can't give it a go, Forbes may be thrust into action against a division foe.
