The Los Angeles Rams are 6-6 on the season and are right in the thick of things in the NFC playoff race. Los Angeles is 10th in the NFC postseason picture after they beat the New Orleans Saints 21-14 on Sunday.

They have a big-time contest against the Buffalo Bills happening in Week 14. The Rams have turned over the page onto this matchup and on Monday, they claimed a former first-round draft pick off waivers.

Rams News: Emmanuel Forbes is Heading to Los Angeles

According to Jordan Schultz, the Rams have claimed cornerback Emmanuel Forbes. After just 20 games with the Washington Commanders, Forbes quickly fell out of his favor with Dan Quinn and the coaching staff.

He started in just one game this season (7 career starts). Forbes was released by the Commanders on Nov. 20. Forbes was selected with the 16th overall pick by Washington in the 2023 NFL Draft.

In his NFL career, Forbes has compiled 45 total tackles, 12 pass deflections, and two interceptions. Last season, the Mississippi State product finished the season with a 121.2 passer rating allowed in coverage with 16.3 yards per reception.

Forbes was a first-round selection due to his speed, length, and awareness in coverage. It looked like his confidence was shot with the Commanders and he failed to regain it. Hopefully, the change of scenery will help get the best out of the 23-year-old but he will have an uphill climb.

The Rams gave veteran Tre'Davious White a chance this season but that didn't work, as they traded him to the Baltimore Ravens. Los Angeles is looking for a different outcome this time around with a younger set of legs.
