Despite being only one play away from defeating the eventual Super Bowl champions and making the NFC championship game, the Los Angeles Rams are having a dramatic offseason. With massive questions surrounding Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp looming, the Rams may have to go through significant changes in the spring.

Rams fans received surprising news after the season that the team was actively shopping Kupp. The way the news broke out, by Kupp posting it himself on social media, was perhaps more shocking than the story itself. It turns out that the organization didn't appreciate this move according to Colin Cowherd.

Rams Reportedly Unhappy With Cooper Kupp After Going Public With Trade Talks

In his segment on FS1, Cowherd revealed the latest on all the Rams drama surrounding Stafford and Kupp. There, he said that the organization wasn't happy with the way Kupp went public about the trade negotiations that they wanted to keep private.

"They are not real happy with Cooper Kupp going public with something they tried to keep quiet. "

The fascinating aspect of Kupp's reveal was the fact that he said he wanted to be in Los Angeles long-term, and the team was trading him against his will. The Rams can obviously do that if they think it benefits the organization, but it is hypocritical of them to expect Kupp to do them a favor by keeping quiet.

The Rams being upset with Kupp likely doesn't change the equation. Kupp was going to be elsewhere before the 2025 season anyway, and this basically cements that.

The former Super Bowl MVP is due $20 million in 2025 and $19.85 million in 2026. This is obviously the impetus for the Rams front office to want to move on from the 31-year-old wide receiver. Treating one of the best players in your modern franchise history this way, however, is not a good look for the organization.
